Prof. Charlotte Beaudart

Charlotte Beaudart is Associate Professor at the University of Namur, Belgium, and responsible for the Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences specializing in “Clinical Research.” She is affiliated with the Public Health Aging Research & Epidemiology (PHARE) Group, the Research Unit in Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology (URPC), and the Namur Research Institute for Life Sciences (NARILIS). Prof. Charlotte Beaudart has a PhD in Public Health, Epidemiology, and Health Economics from the University of Liège. She has dedicated her scientific career to the intricate aspects of aging, delving into areas such as sarcopenia, frailty, and intrinsic capacities. Her expertise extends to Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs), with a focus on the development, validation, and statistical analysis of psychometric properties. She is also an expert in meta-synthesis research, including systematic literature reviews, meta-analyses, and network meta-analyses. Prof. Beaudart’s academic journey also includes a three-year postdoctoral stay at the Department of Health Services Research at Maastricht University. This experience has equipped her with expertise in patient preference studies and cost-effectiveness analyses. Prof. Beaudart is also a member of the WHO Collaborating Center for Epidemiology of Musculoskeletal Health and Aging, housed within the Division of Public Health, Epidemiology, and Health Economics at the University of Liège, Belgium. Furthermore, she serves as a board member of the European Society for Clinical and Economic Aspects of Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis, and Musculoskeletal Disease (ESCEO) and as a member of the IOF Committee of Scientific Advisors.
