Prof. Nancy E. Lane

Dr. Nancy E. Lane is the inaugural director of the Center for Musculoskeletal Health, and Distinguished Professor of Medicine, Rheumatology and Aging at the University of California at Davis School of Medicine. She is a translational scientist that has studied novel bone quality measures that contribute to bone strength, performed the seminal proof of concept clinical study with PTH to reverse glucocorticoid induced bone loss, and has practiced rheumatology and osteoporosis for over 35 years. She currently is a member of the Council of Scientific Advisors for the IOF, has published about 400 peer reviewed manuscripts, and has been recognized for her mentoring and scientific accomplishments with election to the National Academy of Medicine.
