Prof. Nicholas Fuggle

Nicholas Fuggle is Associate Professor at the MRC Lifecourse Epidemiology Centre, University of Southampton, and an Honorary Consultant Rheumatologist at University Hospitals Southampton. He researches musculoskeletal aging, with a focus on epigenetics and AI-driven analysis of imaging to predict musculoskeletal outcomes. Dr Fuggle is co-organizer of the Clinical AI Interest Group at the Alan Turing Institute where he has held a followship, and he has received awards including the British Society of Rheumatology Young Investigator Award (2022) and the IOF Pierre Meunier Award (2022). He also serves on editorial boards of Osteoporosis International, Calcified Tissue International and Ageing Clinical and Experimental Research, as well as the ESCEO Board.
