Prof. Roland Chapurlat

Professor Chapurlat is Professor of Medicine and Director of the INSERM UMR 1033 Pathophysiology, Diagnosis and Treatment of Musculoskeletal Disorders at the University of Lyon, France, where he leads three research teams. His special areas of research include pathophysiology and treatment of bone and joint diseases, imaging of bone and joint diseases, and pathophysiology and treatment of fibrous dysplasia of bone. He is a member of the IOF Committee of Scientific Advisors and is on the scientific committee of GRIO (Groupe de Recherche et d'Information sur les Ostéoporoses). Professor Chapurlat has published widely with more than 400 publications and has gained editorial experience through his work on the editorial boards of Bone, and Joint Bone Spine.
