Prof. Daniel Pinto

Daniel Pinto is Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy at Marquette University, Milwaukee, USA. He is a Scientific Collaborator at the University of Liège, WHO Collaborating Center for Public Health Aspects of Musculoskeletal Health and Aging, Belgium. In 2015, he received the European Society for the Clinical and Economic Aspects of Osteoporosis and Osteoarthritis (ESCEO) Fellowship Award. In 2016, Dr. Pinto was awarded a CoHSTAR faculty fellowship and trained in the conduct of Behavioral Clinical Trials at the NHLBI. In 2020 he received ESCEO-IOF (International Osteoporosis Foundation) Pierre Meunier Young Investigator Award. Dr. Pinto is on the steering committee for the osteoarthritis action alliance (OAAA), he serves as co-chair for the IOF Rehabilitation Working group, and is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for ESCEO and the Committee of Scientific Advisors for the IOF. Dr. Pinto’s research interest is in applying to rehabilitation the diverse methodological approaches that make up the Science of Judgement and Decision Making. He directs the BEhTA lab at Marquette University. He has published over 40 peer-reviewed papers.
