Prof. Patricia Clark

Dr Patricia Clark is a rheumatologist, clinical epidemiologist, and the current Head of the Clinical Epidemiology Research Unit at the Federico Gómez Children’s Hospital of Mexico – School of Medicine of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Professor Clark is an IOF Board member and a member of the IOF Committee of Scientific Advisors (CSA) and the CSA Working Group on Epidemiology. She has been instrumental in the advancement of the FRAX tool in Mexico and the region, as well as in the enhancement of the Fracture Liaison Services in Latin America. Professor Clark is part of the Editorial Committee of Osteoporosis International. She has been distinguished in Mexico with her appointment as National Emeritus Researcher by the National System of Researchers of CONAHCYT, and as Secretary of the General Health Council, a position granted by the President of the Mexican Republic. Dr Clark has published more than 140 articles and has received several national and international awards, including the IOF CSA Medal of Achievement 2024.
