In this course, Professor Patricia Clark will explain the importance of epidemiological research and
its usefulness in the management of osteoporosis, using the pr evention of fragility fractures
in Latin America as an example. She will present the specific ch aracteristics and requirements
within the epidemiological investigation in LATAM. Dr Clark wil l describe examples of actions
based on the epidemiological data that have contributed to frac ture prevention and action plans
for the future.
