Effects of dairy products on bone health

In this course, Professor René Rizzoli will review the association between dairy products, Fermented Dairy Products (FDP) consumption and bone metabolism. He will present the results of studies on probiotics and their clinical outcomes related to bone health. Finally, Prof. Rizzoli will suggest nutritional strategies incorporating these macromolecules to improve bone health, as well as the potential of the gut microbiota as a target point for novel treatment agents for osteoporosis.
